I know it's true that this Kmart is filthy and has horrible customer service, but people keep repeating that. However, you must truly comprehend that Kmart is undergoing chapter 11 bankruptcy. However, I think it's great that the Pacific site is still operational, indicating that the business is still making an effort to survive.
Normally, I would have expected it to close completely, but instead, they transferred Kmart to its former garden shop and led the original building to At Home. I guess it really puts the "mart" in Kmart. Small little stores are what by mart stands for.
